How To Look Expensive – style tips you can use to refine your image, exude affluence, and look expensive (even on a budget).

MY SECRETS TO LOOKING RICH ON A BUDGET

Figuring out favourite styles for the day didn’t fill up my entire morning schedule, like I’m always in a bit of a rush. If we’re trying to get out the door, which is an entire mission in itself, trying to look pulled together is not always an easy task. I manage to pull expensive look on a budget simply by refining my appearance, paying exceptional attention to detail, and following very simple yet powerful unspoken style practices of the rich.

So, I’ve thrown together this fool proof outfit for you that brings together all of my favorite base pieces, layering to create the perfect on-the-go effortless style. The delight with this outfit is how fast and easy it is to throw on and still keep my comfort level to it’s highest potential for the entire day.

MOSTLY MONOCHROME

I’ve always been such a sucker for a monochrome outfit. There’s just something so incredibly chic and flattering. Whether it’s done in full black, white or if you’re feeling bold, any bright colour.  The best part is that it usually requires a lot less thinking as monochrome outfits tend to flow quite nicely.
My monochrome looks that came together with little effort. One thing to consider: play around with textures. An all green outfit is far from boring, especially if you combine different textures and the right accessories. Cashmere with leather, silk with denim, silk with leather, etc. You get the point!

My green sweater and Flowy palazzo trousers remain to be an essential pairing that creates a comfy yet stylish look to bring the workday a necessary focused yet relaxed air. They work well together or paired with other styles. Either way, you’ll wear them everyday like I do, they’re the best!

And of course stilettos… Because who doesn’t need another pair? These mint stilettos are the perfect edgy-stylish combination. Keep yourself and your ensembles chic and effortless this year by staying elevated with your basics and bring these essential pieces to your closet.

Are box bags your vibe? This season in favour of a punchy pick in a translucent black shade to amp up your look.

My 2019 was all about this Plaid Coat, a must have for its plush texture, chic nature, and overall simplistic flow that brings together any outfit, not just this one. It creates a very classic meets modern feel from collar to tip. I’m obsessed with all of my camel coats, but simply put, this is the essential.

Effortlessly Elegant

Neutrals looks so sophisticated and right on our skin . Everyone knows that nude, whilst it often mimics the English sky, is the ultimate blank canvas when it comes to styling. Suiting up in the city may feel like second nature but it’s now that we push the boundaries of established style rules and think outside the confines of the workwear-only box.

Doubling up the duty of a go-to city suit will breathe fresh life into classic silhouettes and present time-tested favourites in a new, clearer light.

A classic high rise, straight trouser leg, and an inseam that works on me with my standard high heels. A great statement pant suit in a very chic and modern.

The finishing touch to any A+ outfit is the right accessory, of course. The belted peplum waist which I paired with black block heels, originally got these last year and they are easily my go-to everyday black blocks.
